How to Disable Timeline on Facebook

Facebook rolled out its timeline avatar last year and since then made it mandatory for all the users to switch over to it. Though timeline is designed to help you and your friends view and share your social life on one page, you may not like it. If you don't like timeline, you have the option to disable it. Here is an instructive guide for you to get rid of Facebook timeline.

Instructions:

The first thing you can keep in your mind is that the Facebook timeline does not support Internet Explorer (IE) 7 and older versions. So, if you are using any of the older IE versions, timeline will not be a problem for you. You will see the same old profile look after logging into your Facebook account. One thing for sure will happen and that is Microsoft will keep prompting you to upgrade your existing browser version to a newer one like IE 8 or so.

For other browsers like Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera, Safari etc., you can download and install F.B. Purity, a free browser extension. The extension will also work for newer IE versions. Visit the fbpurity website and download the desired edition for whichever web browser you use. When on the website, click the green Install F.B. Purity - Extension button. If your browser prevents the download, allow it to run the file.

When done, hit the Save File button to save the downloaded file to your computer. If prompted, choose a location to save the file. If not prompted, the file might get automatically saved in the Downloads folder. When done, exit the browser window. Look for the downloaded file and open it. Run the installation. If prompted, reboot your computer. When done, look for the F.B. Purity shortcut on your desktop and open it.

For example, if you are using Mozilla Firefox, open it. Click the Tools tab and navigate to User Agent Switcher> Internet Explorer> Internet Explorer 6 or 7. That's it! A realistic touch, you might say, because love isn't a solid thing to touch but an emotion to feel, and how often do our emotions stay steady throughout the course of a day? In regards to mood and color, a pink heart shows a more tender emotion than the fiery red, in that pink is delicate and reminiscent of springtime with its tentative flowerings and the growth of new plants. If we continue the use of color as metaphor, then a gold heart symbolizes the love that is tried-and-true, the one that has lasted in value just as does gold. All these symbols for love show up dramatically in an abstract treatment of the subject.

But moving on to the particular object of our love, a portrait done by an abstract artist from a photograph or from an actual sitting could bring joy to a room. Personal portraits can be done in closeup, a family type studio setting, or even in plain air, using the great outdoors as a backdrop. The abstract element of love art would be in the artist's choice of what to emphasize - will it be the glossy hair of the beloved, the grace of a certain well-loved posture, the ghost of a smile?
