Miley Cyrus - Personal

Teenagers have always idolized celebrities and tend to then dress like them. The latest fashion queen seems to be Miley Cyrus. And it is not just teens. Smaller children have also been copying her and to my surprise even some adults have been caught in the Miley Cyrus craze. Miley is the main character of the show "Hannah Montana". This has been her main portal to super-stardom. She only made it big in 2006 when the show became extremely popular.

She literally started as a no one and ended up as one of the most famous people in the world and she will remain famous for very long time. Not many people know that her real name used to be Destiny Hope Cyrus but she later changed this to Miley Ray Cyrus. Because she always smiled as a baby her parents called her Smiley, this later changed to Miley. Miley Cyrus seems to have become the perfect image for the modern teenager. Although she is still young she is already a worldwide super star that has achieved more than most people do in their entire life. She always seems to look different. She loves to change her style and this means that everybody changes their appearance.

No matter what she wears she looks amazing. This is because of her strong spirit. She seems to enjoy everything that she does to the full extent. Miley is one of the only women in the world that can go from the "totally innocent" look to the "super rock star" look in a matter of minutes. She puts allot of attention on every little detail from her hair all the way down to her shoes. How did she get this famous? Well she has been all over the place the last few years. She has done some solo albums including:

Meet Miley Cyrus
Breakout
Hannah Montana
Hannah Montana 2
Hannah Montana 3

Then she has also started to play in movies. We can expect much more in the future. Miley has played in:

Big Fish
High School Musical 2
Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert
Bolt
Hannah Montana: The Movie
The Last Song
Sex and the City 2

What made her the most famous is her series. She early on played in Doc then in The Emperor's New School and The Replacements. She has also held two major tours:

Best of Both Worlds Tour
Wonder World Tour

Who is Miley Cyrus?

If you've been hearing the name lately especially from young children and teens and you're wondering who this celebrity is, two words: "Hannah Montana". Miley Cyrus is a young teen actress who plays the dual title role on Disney's TV Series "Hannah Montana". She plays Miley Stewart, a normal teenage girl whose alter ego is the flamboyant and extremely famous music pop icon, Hannah Montana. The success of this TV series launched young Miley into instant stardom and her star still shines on.

Miley Cyrus was born Destiny Hope Cyrus, daughter of Billy Ray and Leticia Cyrus. If you're wondering why the name "Billy Ray Cyrus" sounds familiar, maybe it's because you've heard of his most famous song, "Achey Brakey Heart" which came out in the 1990's. Between Billy Ray and Leticia, Miley has 5 other siblings: Trace and Brandi are her maternal siblings (children of Leticia from a previous relationship), Christopher Cody is his father's child from his previous relationship and she also has 2 younger siblings, Braison and Noah to complete the family.

The name Miley as it happens comes from "Smiley" which the family called Miley when she was younger because she smiled often. The nickname got shortened to Miley over time, which is kind of fateful considering that what launched her to stardom was her portrayal of a teenage girl named "Miley Stewart" in Hannah Montana.

Her passion for performing was probably ignited at a young age because when she was 9, she enrolled at the Armstrong Acting Studio in Toronto, Canada where she and her family lived for a while. Her first on-screen appearance was when she appeared on her father's TV series "Doc". After that, she also landed a stint as "Young Ruthie" on Tim Burton's "Big Fish". But, of course, she was determined that she was meant for greater things. She auditioned for the coveted title role of Hannah Montana for Disney's newest TV series. She was even willing to take on a lesser role, like that of the "best friend" character. However, it was initially not meant to be. Disney thought she was too young, too small for the part.

The winds of change blew forth. She was called back for further additions and well, it's no surprise, she got the part. The TV series became very popular with kids between 6 and 14 and parents liked her wholesome, role model image. As she was playing a popular music icon in the series, it is to be expected that she'll also be performing outside of the series. Several concerts and soundtrack CD's came out as part of the franchise. The first CD was essentially a soundtrack while the 2nd CD was both a soundtrack as well as her first musical debut album performing as herself and not as Hannah Montana. There was even a spin-off movie which she also starred in.

Miley Cyrus' Superstar Tale

Miley Cyrus is a young and rising tween star with a predicted billion-dollar personal fortune in her possession. While Miley Ray carved her path to fame on account of her good-girl facade, as she gets older her decisions are providing some salacious superstar rumor.

After backing out of her intent of receiving a high-school education, she's happily received the super-star life-style, with unsurprisingly amoral semi-naked photographs and not-so-secret swimsuit images.

The teen in fact postured sans top (although no jugs were on display) for a Vanity Fair journal photo opportunity. Is the tale fated to be another crash-and-burn, with upskirt picture images, nipple slips and pussy-shots as she leaves a cab lacking underclothes?

The Beginning Of the Stardom

Miley Ray came into existence in Tennessee and is the daughter of famous country-rock artist William Ray Cyrus and Leticia "Tish" (née Finley). Her two older brothers from another marriage are called Christopher Cody and Trace.

Her showbiz career really took off when she got to her twelfth birth-day and clinched the talent casting for the star figure of Hannah Montana. Although the Disney Broadcast managers first said that she was far too petite, her bubbly personality and never-say-die personality blitzed her the primary character.

The program was a smash hit and resulted in a career in music blossoming for Miley Cyrus - she's at the current time taping her new song collection with the title Breakout.

The Tarnishing of Miley Cyrus?

As Miley Cyrus blossoms into an attractive adult woman she is impatient to relinquish her tweenie image. She has, in fact, thought that she wants to reinvent herself once over in Madonna's likeness.

Having said that there are those who might argue that Miley is heading for this road inappropriately precociously, by now having made a controversial sexy photo shoot where she posed half-nude for the shots at the age of just 15.

Even given the existence of a statement of apology for the leaked underclothes pic, swimsuit images and various steamy Miley Cyrus pics, one would make the revelation that her initial mature existence will see the Miley R. Cyrus stardom complete with not-so-secret sexcapade incidents and magazines capturing Miley Ray's breasts while relaxing on the waterfront, a bare ass flash in a mini skirt, a nip-slip at a party and up-skirt photos as she leaves cab.

Who Invented the Microwave?

The discovery of microwave oven technology was a by-product of radar technology research being carried out by self taught electronics engineer, Percy Spencer. Spencer was investigating the uses of the magnetron, a unit which could generate microwaves using a stream of electrons controlled by an external magnetic field. Magnetrons were used in aircraft detection technology which helped the Allies win World War II.

After World War II companies such as Raytheon, where Spencer worked, began looking for alternative uses for their magnetrons. Famously, Spencer noticed the link between the magnetron and the heating of food while apparently testing the magnetron and finding that a chocolate bar in his pocket had melted. Making the connection, Spencer and a colleague experimented further, firstly placing an egg near the magnetron, then popcorn (though some say the popcorn preceded the egg). The egg, when exposed to low level microwave energy rapidly heated and exploded over the scientists. The popcorn also cooked in a very short space of time.

Spencer next constructed a metal box and fed microwave energy into it from a magnetron. When food was placed in the box the temperature rose quickly, and the first microwave oven was invented. Engineers at Raytheon continued developing this new idea, creating a more practical version and patenting the idea in 1946. The first commercially available microwave oven was released in 1947, named the Radarange. The first Radarange was installed in the ship NS Savannah, and remains there to this day. The oven was a huge unit, being almost 6ft tall and weighing in excess of 750lbs, making it impractical for the domestic market. It consumed a large amount of energy and was very expensive. Over the next 20 years smaller and more efficient units were produced for the commercial market, but they were unpopular and still held a high price tag.

In 1967 Raytheon bought the Armana corporation, who manufactured air conditioning units, plus domestic refrigerators and freezers. Via Armana, Raytheon produced their first domestic counter top Radarange microwave oven at a much more accessible price. Initially there were fears over radiation and other related risks, but over time users and potential customers realised the oven was not dangerous when used correctly and fears were allayed. News of the convenience and ease of use of microwave ovens began to spread. After a slow start, domestic microwave ovens began to sell at a considerable rate during the 1970s, and by 1986 over 25% of households in the US owned a microwave oven. Microwave ovens began to outsell traditional gas ovens around 1975 and it is believed that over 90% of US households now contain a microwave oven.

Percy LeBaron Spencer died in September 1970 so sadly did not see the full popularity of his creation. Having come from a poor educational background, Spencer was a self taught engineer and continued working for Raytheon, becoming Senior Vice President and a member of the Board of Directors, until he passed away aged 76. By then his named was held on over 150 patents, and in 1999 was added to the National Inventors Hall of Fame, acknowledging his contribution to the scientific world, and the impact of his work on society

Jessica Biel - An American Actress & Model

Jessica Biel's biography was initially planned to be a vocalist. She attended training and appeared in numerous musical events in her hometown. When she was 12, she presented herself in "The International Modeling and Talent Association Conference" in Los Angeles. Since then she started doing modeling jobs, appearing in several advertisements.

Later on, Biel was selected to star in "7th Heaven", the longest family drama in United States. Her filming career started in 1997 in a drama "Ulee's Gold" which earned her the Young Artist Award. She then starred in a movie "I'll be Home for Christmas" in 1998. She blamed her role in "7th Heaven" for causing her a virtuous image and to avoid herself from losing the contract she posed for a semi-nude photo to be the "Gear" magazine cover. Although most of the people were annoyed by her actions, she managed to stay with the show until her contract expired.

Biel starred in "Summer Catch" in 2001 and in "The Rules of Attraction" a year later. After leaving "7th Heaven", she was chosen to be the female lead in the remake of "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre". In 2003, she acted in "Blade: Trinity" before proceeded to star in "Stealth". She made an appearance in "Cellular" where her boyfriend, Chris Evans was also in the show.

When she played in "The Illusionist", she got the "Rising Star Award" during the "Palm Springs International Film Festival" and an "Achievement Award" during the "Newport Beach Film Festival". Later on she starred in "Home of the Brave" in 2006, "Next" and also "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry" in 2007.

After that, Jessica Biel's biography of acting career saw her appearing in "Power Blue", "Nailed" and "Easy Virtue" as well as "Planet 51". She got involved in a charity auction in 2006 by offering a lunch date. In 2007, she became one of the founders of "Make the Difference Network", a social network that intends to enhance the awareness of non-profit organizations to increase the amount of donors.

How to Get a Butt Like Jessica Biel

Jessica Biel is one of the top actresses nowadays, and everyone is checking out her fabulous bod! She has muscular thighs, legs and a tight butt! Everyone is asking what Jessica Biel and her trainer are up to and how she has gotten her fab body. Check out these top-notch exercises to build muscle, become toned and lose extra body fat. If Jessica can do it, so can you!

1. Start with cardio. Do as much as a half a mile jog each morning. Then find a track and do two 150 meter, 200 meter and 100 meter quick sprints. Cardio is essential for burning fat off the body.
2. Remember to stretch before all exercises. One of Jessica's favorite exercises is a walking-lunge, which stretches the glute and larger leg muscles. Lunge first with the left leg and then with the right. Try to do 7 to 10 repetitions per a leg.
3. Take up weight training. Use only light weights to avoid getting massive muscle mass. Lift some weights over your shoulders and then try squats. Squats are fantastic for the glutes, and Jessica Biel follows a rigid routine.
4. Try plyometrics. This exercise can hurt a bit as you are jumping from a flight of stairs of about 20 stairs. You must jump from the first to the third stair down in repetition--sort of like leap frog without the frog. Do this activity only with supervision by a trainer.
5. Do the Russian twist for the waist and buttocks. Sit down carefully and then lean back only slightly. Pick up a five-pound medicine ball and twist from side to side. Do about three reps with 15 twists on each side.

1. Let your hair down. Over the years, the length of Jessica Biel's hair has fluctuated, but she almost always wears it down toward the red carpet. Try taming your hair into loose waves and adding a little glossy apricot lipgloss for a hot look like Jessica wore at the premiere of "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry."

Does Everyone's Opinion Count? A Ranking of the Fashion Blogs

Over the World Wide Web, there is a continual influx of information over the internet highway, including, most recently, a trend in fashion blogging. Currently, there are hundreds of new fashion blogs being created everyday, and over millions of already created websites. With these massive amounts of people posting their opinions on style, how can you stop wasting your time reading useless fashion blogs? Is there anyway to separate the quality blogs from the irrelevant ones? This review of five top rated fashion blogs gives insight into what standards should be used in deciding which blogs are worth your time.

Fashion blogs are ranked on a 10 point scale in four areas: (1) clarity of thought, (2) timeliness, (3) relevance, and (4) degree of opinion.

Style File blog:

Total Score: 28

Style.com is a primary source and destination for where people receive their fashion news, trends, and photos of seasonal runway shows. In addition, the renown website has a chief blog site, Style File, where writers can post opinions on various aspects of fashion in a more informal setting and approach. Even though there are several writers for Style File, the writing style of this blog site is distinct and individual to Style.com's website.

1.) Clarity of thought: 6.5. It is decent. You are able to read through it, although some postings may be a bit long-winded. Also, some entries may be difficult to understand if you don't have a lot of knowledge of people in the fashion industry, such as Sophia Hesketh and Byrdie Bell.

2.) Timeliness: 8.5. This blog seems to lack consistency. It will have 5-6 entries in one day, and then skip three days entirely without any new posts and then continue on with 5-6 entries. This is probably because people are not working on the weekends. On the upside, it does post slightly more than the average blog, but for a blog that is on a website of considerable size and prominence, you would expect that it would.

3.) Relevance: 7. I don't think this blog really provides any new information that is of importance or is really interesting. It attempts to draw on styles outside of the US, which can be informative, but it doesn't focus enough fashion in the homeland. Focus of articles tends to stray away from American fashion, and stick more with foreign matters. In the past several days, there have been over five postings purely on Moscow fashion alone. This is completely unnecessary. Information can also be quite dry at times.

4.) Degree of Opinion: 6. While it does provide news, writers do not write to form their own opinions really, but just blog to create a place for viewers to post their own insights and opinions. The writers tend to say something that they feel is true, such as the "Prep School Blazer style is very trendy," yet it still opens the discussion for debate, by asking viewers whether they agree or what their thoughts are. This makes the writer's opinions seems inconsistent and weak. The blog would be better if the writers had a stronger point of view in their critique. It is unnecessary to ask the reader whether they agree with them or not, because the reader will post his or her opinions anyway.

Hint Magazine blog:

Hint Magazine is an online fashion magazine, where you can read fashion columns and story features with a wide ranging selection of topics including music, art, dance and, of course, fashion. It has a separate blog to informally discuss various areas of interests that cater to more independent styles and are usually humorous and entertaining to read.

Total Score: 30

1.) Clarity of thought: 8. The blog is clear to read and understand. It is written in a contemporary manner that appeals to a younger audience. There are not copious amounts of text in each entry compared to the Style File blog, and instead they include many photos and videos that go along with the postings. This makes it look less daunting to get through, which is important in today's fast paced world of Twittering.

2.) Timeliness: 6. In an era where bloggers are uploading new entries a dozen times per day, this blog only has, on average, 1-2 posts per day. In order to maintain a blog with readers constantly tuning in, it is imperative that there are multiple entries in a short span for readers to regularly come back to.

3.) Relevance: 7. Where Style File's subject content was entirely about the New York fashion world, this blog seems to veer slightly to the left of that direction. The information posted seems to target a more indie audience by showcasing unheard of designers, writers and artists. I found also that it seems to post a lot on Brazilian artists and designers. I am not sure if there is a correlation between the writers and Brazil for them to do so, but either way, it is a little inconsistent with balancing foreign matters. Some posts are completely irrelevant and hold no interest for me, but for those that enjoy reading about marble urinals in art exhibits and gay porn awards, this is your destination. And if you are one of those readers who enjoy this blog, good luck with letting them know your thoughts, since they have disabled the commenting feature on this blog.

4.) Degree of Opinion: 9. Writers on this blog seem to enjoy writing about what they write about. While news information can be lackluster and tedious at times, this blog tries to send out their messages in a humorous and enjoyable way. While not all of the content on this blog is PG, I did enjoy reading it, even if I wasn't too interested in what they were actually saying.

Fashion Tribes:

Fashion Tribes tends to appeal to the average fashionista who is well versed in various areas of fashion, such as new trends, beauty and accessories. The reader is usually familiar with popular styles and substantial fashion news occurring on in the fashion world. Taking elements from various aspects of fashion, such as advertisements, magazines and events, this website is pretty solid and well rounded.

Total Score: 30

1.) Clarity of thought: 9. The blog is portioned into smaller paragraphs, which makes it really reader friendly. Also, if you find yourself done with the reading, but are still interested in the topic, it allows you to read more after the jump, which gets rid of extra writing clutter, and opens up space for more easy on the eyes photos and videos. A lot of good pictures and examples, which make the posts look lively and not overwhelming to read.

2.) Timeliness: 6. For a website that is well known across the nation as one of the top rated fashion blogs, you would think that there would be much more blog entries, but instead I was disappointed to find that it only updates only 3-4 days per week. Even though there are a good amount of entries per day, the blog does not allow readers to view older posts, since there is no backlog feature. This makes it really disappointing for those that want to continue reading the rest of the blog, but are unable to.

3.) Relevance: 9. I really enjoyed the content on this blog and thought that it had a lot of good, useful information. It draws in various news about upcoming websites in fashion, as well as information about fresh spring beauty regimes and free giveaways, which everyone loves. Considering the wide-range of topics featured on this blog, I think that it is very good for an everyday shopaholic.

4.) Degree of Opinion: 6. There is hardly, if any, critique in any of the entries posted. However, when creating a blog site, you usually write about what you like, so with that in mind, you definitely know what the writers for this blog like to write about, which explains why I gave it a more generous score, since it posts things assuming that you know that these are things that they enjoy or find pleasing, without really having an opinion about them.

Go Fug Yourself:

Combine Hollywood celebrity style with a Perez Hilton sense of humor, and you have the love child of Go Fug Yourself. Known for its uncanny humor, it leaves no celebrity unharmed or unnoticed. This blog is probably one of the most hilarious fashion criticism blogs out there in a sea of fashion blogs on the internet, but then again, I am being completely biased, since these writers' humor is right up my alley. Warning, this blog is not for everyone.

Total Score: 38

1.) Clarity of thought: 9. This blog uses the adverb, "A picture speaks a thousand words" and makes it its central point. Uploading a photo of a celebrity in a ridiculous outfit pretty much speaks for itself, since that is mainly how it shows the reader the ridiculousness of the celebrity's outfit choices. Using the photo as the butt of its jokes, the writers then unapologetically bash the outfit.

2.) Timeliness: 10. Finally! A blog with a little consistency! It updates well over the course of the day. You can expect around 5 entries in a day, expect on weekends, which is understandable.

3.) Relevance: 9. Depending on your sense of humor, this site may or may not be right for you. For those who enjoy reading about bashing celebrities based on their clothing choices, then you have pretty much found gold, but for the fainthearted, you may cringe a bit more when you realize how harsh some of the critiques may be. No worries though, this website is all in good fun! Luckily, for this website, I fall in the former category, and enjoyed this blog thoroughly.

4.) Degree of Opinion: 10. Go Fug Yourself has made a career by casting its opinion on what others are wearing, so if it would be difficult for me to give it anything but a full score rating.

Fashionista

Fashionista is the product of two staff writers from Nylon and Elle Magazine, and joining to give you news in the fashion world faster than most other blogs. With a combo of gossip, rumors, sale tip-offs, internship suggestions, free giveaways, editorial photos and every other relevant news in the fashion world, Fashionista is a comprehensive and delightful read. Perhaps I am just being completely subjective, because this is one of the few blogs that I actually read everyday, alongside Perez Hilton, but Fashionista combines all the New York style straight out of the city's oven.

Total Score: 38.5

1.) Clarity of thought: 10. The blog is written in small paragraphs, making it easier for the reader to get through it, without feeling overwhelmed. If the reader is still interested in a certain blog entry, she can click on a separate link taking them to "read after the jump." It uses a combination of lively photos, videos and own photo-shopped writing, making the blog more personal and distinct to Fashionista. Also, as a helpful measure, if you don't understand some fashion terminology, they have a dictionary specifically just for that!

2.) Timeliness: 10. Fashionista updates several times a day, throughout the day, to give you the most recent and important news. This blog is an archetype to how other fashion blogs should operate.

3.) Relevance: 10. The news featured on this blog involves news occurring in the New York fashion scene. While this may not include everyone, it does deal with high fashion in a very real way, something that can be understood no matter where you are. It also includes subjects from other fashion websites to give you the most relevant information, such as its "Mid-Day Snack" section. This blog also includes various areas of fashion, such as models, beauty, and editorial spreads, so the viewer can be well read in all aspects of fashion.

4.) Degree of Opinion: 8.5. While some blog entries are created just to provide readers non-biased information, other entries are made to showcase models or photo shoots that the writers really like. Either way, you will read this blog learning what is important to the creators of Fashionista. In most news, however, the writers write the entries in a critical way, with a strong point of view.

A Simplified Guide To Buying Diamond Jewelry

So, it's time to purchase that important diamond ring. Or, maybe you are in the market for some new diamond earrings to make your face look lovely. You might find many terms that are used regularly, and having a basic grasp of them will help to improve your buying experience.

The first thing you might be asking yourself is, what exactly is a carat? A carat is the measure of the weight of your gem. Basically, the larger the carat, the larger the stone. Often times, larger carat gems are more expensive than smaller carat gems. This is not always the case though, read on to learn more about the other elements that influence the price of your stone.

Next in line to the carat size is the color of your stone. Diamonds come in many different colors, from clear to yellow to blue or black. A diamond that is very clear, without any cloudy appearance or inclusions, will be the most expensive. This diamond will also be the most sought after. If your diamond is a very rare color, such as black, this can also increase the price and value of your stone.

There are many different cuts of a diamond. Sometimes the cut is a matter of personal preference, some people prefer oval while others prefer princess for instance. Other times, the cut involves quality in that it is a determination of the depth and width of your stone compared to the raw stone it was cut from. These factors can influence the price, and value, of your stone. A good cut will provide for a brighter diamond that shows clarity and light-emitting qualities. Consider this when making your purchase.

When you are inspecting the diamond that you hope to purchase, always use magnification. A good quality magnifier will show you imperfections that you might not have otherwise seen. This will also give you a good view of the exact color and cut of your stone. A quality jeweler can point out specifics about your stone under magnification that your naked eye most certainly would have missed. Ask your jeweler to do so, and consider the qualities they mention when making your purchasing decisions.

Finally, when you select your stone always make sure to ask about the warranty. You want to know that your diamond is warrantied against any breaks (which are rare in a quality stone). You also want to make sure that the jeweler is backing up the claim that this is an authentic diamond. Make sure that any warranty information is provided in writing. Also be sure you have a clear grasp of the warranty specifics.

A diamond is a gift that will last forever. Because of this, making the right selection is extremely important. In this article, we have provided you with a basic explanation of diamond related terms, and given you some sound advice for selecting your stone. Use these tips wisely and enjoy your shopping experience.
